A Learning Commission brings Students as Partners to life. It creates the structures and opportunities for students to work alongside their teachers and school leaders as genuine partners in learning and improvement.
Through the Learning Commission, students investigate the experiences and issues that matter in their school communities, gather and make sense of evidence, and develop informed recommendations for improvement. Their insights contribute to action within their own schools, while connecting with the work of other Commissioners across regions and state lines.
In this way, Students as Partners is more than listening to student voice. It recognises students as active contributors to understanding what is happening, identifying what could be better, and working alongside adults to shape what happens next.
